History
M. Goss and Sons produce and supply quality local limestone for house building, walls, rockery, and feature stones for any requirements.
There has been a quarry on this site for hundreds of years, with stone from here being used to build many of the beautiful houses you see in Weston Underwood and the surrounding area. Our family run quarry was re-opened 50 years ago, and is now run alongside the family farm. We have supplied random & dressed stone for over 100 new houses locally in the last 10 years alone, as well as all the other uses mentioned above.
Many local conversions have been completed using our stone, based on the fact that it matches and compliments existing stone buildings perfectly.
Our dry stone walling looks great in any garden, with stone from this quarry being used by the winner of the prestigious dry stone wall association “pinnacle award” 2009.
You can also see our stone on a large display at the Hampton Court flower show.
We also provide any shape & size rockery stone for the smallest fish pond, to very large cascading waterfalls. This stone is also useful for shoring riverbanks & keeping unwanted visitors of grass verges & out of yards or sites.
